The shrine on the Fafleralp Stafel is dedicated to Saint Martin. Saint Martin is the patron saint of travellers, the poor, beggars and riders, as well as in a broader sense of refugees, prisoners, abstainers and soldiers. His commemoration day is on 11th November.
