Die Karstaufstoßquelle ist seit dem Besuch des römischen Feldherren Tiberius im Jahre 15 v. Chr. als historische Donauquelle anerkannt. Die Skulptur "Mutter Baar" weist der "jungen Donau" ihren Weg zum Schwarzen Meer.

Rechtzeitig zur neu sanierten Donauquelle wurde auch eine neue Erlebnisführung an der Donauquelle konzipiert. Weitere Informationen sind in der Tourist-Information, 0771 857-221 erhältlich.
