Diese Vorrichtung wurde benutzt, um Baumstämme aus höheren Lagen schnell nach unten an Flüsse wie die Kirnitzsch zu befördern, um sie dort auf Flößen weiter zu transportieren.

Diese Vorrichtung gab dem Erlebnisfreigelände Waldhusche seinen Namen. Auf dem Gelände erfährt man an vielen interaktiv und abwechslungsreich gestalteten Stationen Interessantes über die historische Waldnutzung und viele andere Waldthemen.
