Die Dicke Raupe nach Zeichnungen des Frankfurter Karikaturisten F. K. Waechter.

Andreas Rohrbach fertigte 2008 das Objekt aus Kunststoff nach Waechters Skizze und sanierte es 2021. Seit ihrer Runderneuerung sitzt die Dicke Raupe auf einer Erle an der Ecke Kruppstraße / Schwarzer Weg und strahlt wieder in knalligem Zartgrün.

F.K. Waechter zeichnete eine ganze Serie mit Objekten in Bäumen und schenkte sie der Stadt Frankfurt am Main für den GrünGürtel. Alle Objekte der Komischen Kunst am GrünGürtel-Rundwanderweg entstehen in einer Kooperation zwischen dem städtischen Umweltamt und dem Caricatura Museum Frankfurt.
