Das Deutsche Eck liegt in Koblenz am Zusammenfluss von Rhein und Mosel. Kurz nach dem Tod von Kaiser Wilhelm I., der 1888 verstarb, entstand die Idee ihm ein Denkmal zu setzen. Als Platz für dieses Monument auserkoren wurde das Deutsche Eck in Koblenz. Nachdem das Denkmal im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört wurde und viele Jahre an Stelle Wilhelms I. die deutsche Flagge wehte, wurde 1993 eine Rekonstruktion des Denkmals errichtet.
