Der Blüchelturm in St. Vith ist eines der wenigen noch erhaltenen Relikte der frühen Stadtgeschichte. Die Ortschaft wurde im 1944 bei einem Sturmangriff der Alliierten fast vollständig zerstört, einzig der aus dem 14 Jh. stammende Blüchelturm überstand den Angriff. In den 60er Jahren des 20 Jh. wurde der Turm wiederhergestellt. Er gilt seitdem als Zeichen des Widerstandes.
