Das Bergmannsdenkmal steht zwischen Wilnsdorf und Wilgersdorf und gedenkt den Bergleuten, Köhlern, Schmelzern und Waldschmieden.
In der Erzgrube Neue Hoffnung, die zwischen Wilnsdorf und Wilgersdorf liegt, wurden zwischen 1882 und 1913 Spateisenstein, Zink-, Blei- und Silberfahlerze abgebaut. Besonders bemerkenswert ist die große, heute unter Naturschutz stehende Halde. Am Rande dieser Halde, in der Nähe der CVJM-Jugendbildungsstätte in Wilgersdorf, befindet sich ein Denkmal für die Bergleute der Neuen Hoffnung. Bei dem Wanderweg A1 in Wilgersdorf liegt das Denkmal direkt auf dem Weg.
