Das Bach-Denkmal am Frauenplan vor dem Bachhaus Eisenach wurde von Adolf von Donndorf geschaffen und 1884 eingeweiht. Die jährlichen Bach-Ehrungen zu seinem Geburtstag am 21. März finden hier statt. Johann Sebastian Bachs Eltern Johann Ambrosius Bach und Elisabeth Lämmerhirt stammten aus Erfurt und kamen 1671 nach Eisenach, als der Vater unter Johann Georg von Sachsen-Eisenach eine Stelle als Stadtmusikus erhielt.
