Das ehemalige Benediktinerkloster aus dem 13. Jahrhundert ist ein ganz besonderer Ort der Kunst und Kultur.
450 Jahre nach Auflösung des Klosters ist die zweitgrößte Klosteranlage Schleswig-Holsteins, erbaut im Stil der norddeutschen Backsteingotik, heute ein Ort der Entspannung und der Inspiration. Besichtigen Sie in der Klosterkirche unbedingt den weltberühmten Reliquienschrein aus dem Jahr 1300, den ältesten geschnitzten Flügelaltar der Kunstgeschichte. Danach stärken Sie sich im Klostercafé Brunnenhaus (Bäderstraße 42, www.kloster-cismar.de/cafe/ ). Klosterführungen werden von April bis Oktober jeweils am Mittwoch um am Samstag um 17 Uhr angeboten.

Die Klosteraußenanlage ist ganzjährig öffentlich zugänglich.
Außerhalb der Führungen (Mittwochs und Samstags um 17 Uhr) kann lediglich der Vorraum der Klosterkirche besichtigt werden.

Direkt am Kloster Cismar befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle der Linie Nr. 5800. Der Name der Haltestelle ist "Klosterkrug".

Directions
A1 aus Richtung Lübeck-Hamburg kommend nehmen Sie die Autobahnausfahrt Pelzerhaken.
Dann biegen Sie rechts ab auf die Bundesstraße B 501 in Richtung Grömitz.
Fahren Sie durch Grömitz durch und folgen Sie der Straßenbeschilderung Richtung Cismar.

An der Klosteranlage befindet sich ein kostenfreier Parkplatz ohne Zeitbeschränkung.
