The monastery "Beheading of St. John the Baptist", from Arbore commune, Suceava County, was erected in 1503, and the remarkable mural painting was made in 1541.
Biserica Arbore are hramul Tăierea Capului Sfântului Ioan Botezătorul (sărbătorit în fiecare an la data de 29 august) și în anul 1993, Organizația Națiunilor Unite pentru Educație, Știință și Cultură (UNESCO) a inclus biserica pe lista patrimoniului cultural mondial.
