Der Eppelsberg ist ein Schlackenkegelvulkan in der Eifel, der seine aktive Phase vor etwa 230.000 Jahren hatte.
Der noch aktive Gesteinsabbau am erloschenen Vulkan ermöglicht tiefe Einblicke in seine einzelnen Ablagerungsschichten, die fünf verschiedenen Ausbruchsphasen entstammen.
Der Eppelsberg stellt die 3. Station der Deutschen Vulkanstraße dar.
