Water mill in the village of Udziejek

The mill is located in the eastern part of the Suwałki Landscape Park, about 400 meters from the district road Gulbieniszki-Udziejek. The mill is located on the river Szeszupa in village of Udziejek. It was built at the turn of the 20th century. The owners of the mill belonged to the local German minority before the war. In the interwar period, the mill belonged to the  Wunder miller, who gave it to his son. After the war, the mill was abandoned and the property was overtaken by the state.

 

This is one of the few preserved water mills in the Suwałki Region. Currently reconstructed, it is a valuable example of rural construction technology.
