Die Gebäude wurden von 1873 bis 1875 erbaut. An gleicher Stelle am Wentowsee stand im 13. Jahrhundert schon einmal eine Mühle, wie in historischen Dokumenten erwähnt wurde. Die unter Denkmalschutz stehende Wassermühle ist ein seltenes Exemplar dieser Art aus dem 19. Jahrhundert.
