One of the 6 mills in Haßloch located on the Haßlocher Mühlenweg - today privately owned. Home of the "Centrum Obermühle"
In 1745, the concession for the construction of the Upper Mill was granted by Elector Karl-Theodor. Because the three already existing mills (Fronmühle, Sägmühle, and Neumühle) were no longer able to grind the grain quickly enough. They not only had to grind the grain from Haßloch but also from the surrounding villages Böhl and Iggelheim. Until its closure in 1936, the mill changed ownership several times. According to reports, the machinery was dismantled and sold to Ukraine. It wasn't until 2003 that the mill was sold to the property owner company Obermühle at Hans-Böckler-Straße 65. The partners were Tatjana Hof, Thomas Götz, and K. and A. Bockslaff. After renovations in compliance with heritage protection requirements, a practice for occupational therapy with horses was created here.
