Zu finden ist die Obermühle im Südwesten der Stadt, am Zulauf der Wisenta in Richtung Unterkoskau gegenüber dem Schützenhaus und der Turnhalle.

Die erste Erwähnung der Obermühle ist in den Türkensteuerlisten von 1531 zu finden. 1628 hatte die Mühle nachweisbar 2 Mahlgänge.

Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wechselten die Besitzer der Obermühle und sie wurde bis 1954 mitsamt der Schneidmühle betrieben. Heute ist die Mühle stillgelegt. Hier befindet sich nur noch ein kleiner Getränkehandel.
