Der Firstbaum der Eder - Mühle verrät, dass die "Gmachlmühle" im Jahre 1742 erbaut wurde. Sie war bis ca. 1955 in Betrieb. Das Getreide wurde mit einem Ochsengespann über den Wieselberg zur Mühle gebracht. Gemahlen wurden großteils Roggen und Weizen zum Brotbacken. Hafer wurde zu Viehfutter "gebrochen". Es konnte nur gemahlen werden, wenn genügend Wasser zulief. Im Herbst und Winter wurden Roggen u. Weizenmehl auf Vorrat gemahlen.
