The landscape wonderland of Upper Lusatia

Erstmals im Jahre 1806 erwähnt, stand die Windmühle auf der im Oberdorf gelegenen Wilhelmshöhe. Seit 1811 wurde sie auch als Obere Windmühle bezeichnet. 1849 erwarb Karl Gottlieb Dienel die Mühle, der auch den 35m tiefen Brunnenschacht in den Basaltberg meißelte. 1893 erhielt die Mühle die Konzession für "Bier und Branntweinschank". Der Mahlbetrieb wurde eingestellt und der Restaurationsbetrieb favorisiert. Das Mühlengebäude wurde mit einer Wandelhalle umbaut und als Rollschuhbahn genutzt. Weiterhin diente die Mühle als Aussichtsturm. 1908 wurde die achteckige Mühle abgebrochen. Die Wandelhalle ist Bestandteil des Saales im jetzigen Landmannsheim in der Ortsmitte.
