The sweeping view over the Albtrauf from the tower of Teck Castle is certainly the highlight of a visit to Teckberg with its medieval walls, beer garden and Albverein hiking lodge.
The round, 31 m high tower, built from quarry stones, some of which come from the old castle, is a building block in the history of the Swabian Alb Association. The Kirchheim/Teck Beautification Association originally started building it in the 1880s. However, it ran out of money. Numerous supporters joined forces, which ultimately led to the founding of the Swabian Alb Association in 1888. The tower was inaugurated a year later.

As the narrow ridge of the Teckberg, on whose highest point the tower stands, stretches about 3 km from the Albtrauf into the foothills, the view along the approx. 350 m high escarpment: to the south-west, first the Baßgeige, above it the ruins of the Hohenneuffen fortress, behind it the Achalm and between this and the Eninger Weide the crest of the Roßberg. To the east, directly opposite the Teck, is the rocky outcrop of the Breitenstein. The Eichhalde nature reserve with its old willow beeches can be seen at the foot of the slope.

To the northeast, the view first takes in the Weilheim bay - a sea of blossoming fruit trees in spring - with the Limburg and Dachsbühl volcanic stumps. The highway ascent on the Aichelberg dominates the picture. To the right of the trapezoidal Turmberg, the mountain nose of Boßler juts into the land. Hohenstaufen, Rechberg, Stuifen, Kaltes Feld and the Messelstein on the far right are enthroned on the horizon. The Neckar valley is clearly visible in the foreland to the west, the tall chimneys of the Neckar works in Altbach to the northwest and the Stuttgart gas boiler a little further on. Above the wooded heights of the Schurwald forest, villages on the Keuper mountains and perhaps even the Katzenbuckel in the Odenwald can be spotted on a clear day.

The tower can only be reached via the Albverein hiking lodge on the Teckberg and can only be climbed during its opening hours.
