Der Pilsumer Leuchtturm, ein Wahrzeichen Ostfrieslands

Der gelb-rot gestreifte Pilsumer Leuchtturm zählt zu den Wahrzeichen Ostfrieslands und das nicht erst, seit Otto Waalkes den Film "Otto, der Außerfriesische" gedreht hat. Der 11 m hohe Turm wurde im Jahr 1891 erbaut, seine Feuerhöhe befindet sich auf 15 m Höhe. Die Feuerhöhe gibt den Abstand zwischen der Lichtquelle eines Leuchtfeuers und dem Meeresspiegel an.
