The tower became the new landmark of the marshlands in S djütland in the spring of 2021. It was designed by the world-renowned architects of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). The tower's unusual design is inspired by nature and human DNA. With a height of 36 m above sea level, the spiral tower is an attraction that can be seen for miles around.
Thanks to its very special location in Hjemsted near Skærbæk, the Marsh Tower offers the opportunity to observe unique nature experiences from the front row – with the wide view üover the marsh and the Wadden Sea National Park, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is known for its unique nature and spectacular wildlife. With good visibility, the view from the large viewing platform reaches as far as Esbjerg, Sylt and Rømø.
The Marschturm is barrier-free and the top platform can be reached by lift, making it accessible to all.
