König-Friedrich-August-Turm ist weltweit einziger gusseiserner Aussichtsturm. Dieses Bautechnisches Denkmal auf dem Löbauer Berg wurde 1854 erbaut.

Auf dem Löbauer Berg thront ein besonderer „Freizeitknüller“. Es lohnt sich, den König-Friedrich-August-Turmriesen zu erklimmen und von oben die Weitsicht auf die gesamte Oberlausitz bis hin zum lser- und Riesengebirge zu genießen. Schon der Turmerbauer, ein Löbauer Bäckermeister, prägte das Motto: „Je weiter der Blick – desto freier das Herz“ und tatsächlich sieht man aus luftiger Höhe vieles in einer anderen Perspektive und natürlich schon das nächste Ziel in unserer Region, die an Naturschönheit und attraktivem Freizeitangebot einiges zu bieten haben.

Öffnungszeiten des Turms:
- Mai – Sept. Mo – Fr 9:00 – 20:00 Uhr, Sa – So 9:00 – 22:00 Uhr
- Okt. – April Mo – Fr 10:00 – 18:00 Uhr, Sa – So 10:00 – 20:00 Uhr
- Zufahrt über Herwigsdorfer Straße bis Parkplatz

Price:

Am Eingang muss man für 2 Euro ein Ticket lösen und kann dann durch das Drehkreuz hereingehen.
