Der Melibokus ist mit 517 m die höchste Erhebung an der Bergstraße. Schon von weitem ist er gut zu erkennen, da er im Vergleich zu den benachbarten Erhebungen weit nach Westen hervortritt.
1772 ließ der Landgraf Ludwig IX auf dem Gipfel einen 21 Meter hohen Aussichtsturm errichten, der Samstag und Sonntag von 10 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet ist.
Von hier oben haben wir eine fantastische Fernsicht auf die Bergstraße, über den Odenwald und über die Rheinebene hinweg bis zur Bergkette des Pfälzer Waldes.
