Lyss feiert 2009 sein 1000-jähriges Bestehen. Aus diesem Anlass hat die Personalwaldkoporation (PWK) von Lyss zusammen mit der Gemeinde Lyss und lokalen Partnern einen Aussichtsturm erstellt. Der Turm ist aus Holz und steht auf der "Kreuzhöhe" in Lyss. Er kann jederzeit besucht werden. Alpen und Jura sind dann dank der 360° Rundumsicht zum Greifen nah.
