Paraduça

It is a sunny land, embedded in the Teixeira valley, known by its typical cornbread, a delicate and blessed bread that is still handmade, by the wise hands of its inhabitants. In order to get to know every steps of the bread production, from sowing to table, we suggest you to visit the mills route, composed by five watermills, that use water from Paraduça stream, through a watercourse. In this village, it’s possible to visit The House of Cornbread (Casa da Broa), from where you can also have an extraordinary outlook over the whole village of Paraduça. In one of the village’s entrances, enjoy the scenery of the Poço do Linho waterfall. You can just take a picture, or simply to glimpse the crystal clear water of this well that, in other times, was used by the Paraduça women to soak the linen that later they used to make linen fabric.
