Inaugurated in 1997, the Punta Nariga lighthouse, designed by architect César Portela, rises with its imposing structure that emulates the bow of a ship, reaching 50 meters high and projecting its light up to 22 miles. In front of it, the bronze sculpture “Atlante”, created by Manolo Coia, is a point of interest for visitors. Surrounded by rocks sculpted by nature, this lighthouse is the first on the route “O Camiño dos Faros”, offering views that connect the past and the future of the route. However, the presence of the invasive plant Carpobrotus edulis, threatens the local flora. The final stretch to Niñóns Beach, although beautiful, presents challenges, with the caveat that there is no mobile coverage in that area.
