Der nach List-West zweitnördlichste Leuchtturm von Deutschland steht auf der Nordostseite der Insel Sylt, fast am Ende der Halbinsel Ellenbogen.
Das Leuchtfeuer dient als Leit-, und Quermarkenfeuer für das Fahrwasser "Lister-Tief" mit einem Leitsektor für das "Hoyer Dyp". Der weiße Turm mit rotem Band wurde 1857 von der Isselburger Hütte aus gusseisernen Platten auf einem Betonfundament erstellt. Das rote Laternenhaus ist eine Stahlkonstruktion mit einem Kupferdach. Zusammen mit seinem 2700 m entfernt stehenden Zwillingsturm List-West sind sie die ältesten noch aktiven Leuchttürme Deutschlands mit einem Gusseisenturm.
