Enjoy peace and quiet in the middle of the forest. The Kentänkankaan hut is located in a clearing in the canvas forest under the Myllyvuori mountain, along the extensive Portimo Trails hiking trail.
The Portimão trails cover more than 40 km of diverse nature, with a choice of different routes.
In the forest clearing, under the shelter of the lodge, you can really enjoy the sounds of nature and, of course, the silence in winter. An excellent destination for a picnic or an overnight stay.
The lodge is easily accessible from the north and is therefore also suitable for families with children.
Around Siliävuori, the southern trail has a steep, rocky slope that requires good fitness. The landscape and terrain towards Siliävuori is more varied, with lake views, scrubby open rocky terrain and lush, dry grasslands.
Otherwise the terrain is easy and partly forest roads. The route is also suitable for cycling, except on the steep slopes of Siliävuori.
The campsite is equipped with a fireplace with benches, trees and a toilet.
The woodland in the vicinity of the lodge is excellent for berry picking and mushroom picking.

Directions
You can get to the Kentänkankaan lava from different starting points:
Kannusjärvi Luomakangas (parking lot of the sports track), Luomakankaantie 35, 49570 Hamina. The starting point is located near the sports track of Kannusjärvi. From the south side of the track, the route branches off to the south and Kentänkankaan lava, which is about 1 km away.
Continuing southwards, the route leads to the Siliävuori observation tower, which is about 2 km from the lava.
From the north, the trail branches off towards the Läsivuori ring trail and on to Viitavuori lodge. There are a number of different route options of varying lengths to choose from.
