Der Zwenkauer See ist der größte See im südlichen Leipziger Neuseenland und ein Highlight für Erholungssuchende sowie für Wassersportler.
Oberhalb des Hafens mit Sandstrand, Restaurants, Tourist-Kontor und Ferienwohnungen befindet sich der Ausstellungspavillon KAP Zwenkau. Darin kann das Modell der Abraumförderbrücke AFB 18 und eine Ausstellung zur Bergbaugeschichte der Region besichtigt werden. Ein einmaliger Blick über den See eröffnet sich von der Dachterrasse des eindrucksvollen Gebäudes.
Direkt am südlichen Seeufer lädt das Eichholz zu Spaziergängen in idyllischer Natur ein. Ebenso am Nordufer des Sees werden Naturfreunde nicht enttäuscht, denn hier laden die Wanderwege in der "Harth" und der "Neue Harth" zu ausgiebigen Wanderungen ein.
