The Stappitzer See is located in the Mallnitz Seebachtal in the outer zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park and can be easily reached in around 15 minutes from the Ankogel Bergbahnen car park. The idyllically situated lake serves as a resting station for all kinds of migratory birds. Information facilities and an observation station in the Hohe Tauern National Park bring you closer to nature. You can enjoy the unique view on the rest benches or continue hiking along the Seebachtal nature trail to the Schwussner Hut.
In winter, the Seebach valley shows a completely different side - deep in snow, you can enjoy the cross-country ski trails and the winter hiking paths.
