Schwarzsee

Here, you may occasionally spot ibex, chamois, or even eagles. According to legend, this is the home of a powerful black bull, said to have once emerged from the water during a thunderstorm, only to be wounded by a herdsman. Ever since, the bull is said to have haunted the man—even in his dreams. The wounded creature chose its home well, as this is considered an energetic power spot. Do you feel the magical atmosphere that surrounds this small, rocky lake? According to older legends, the bull, wounded in one leg, symbolizes four virtues, with each leg representing one. If it loses the use of one leg, that particular virtue is said to vanish—not just from the bull’s life, but from ours as well. Stand at the water’s edge for a while, connect with the lake, and simply allow whatever comes to unfold.

Schwarzsee is located on the famous 5-Lakes Hike, along with four other mountain lakes: Wangsersee, Wildsee, Schottensee, and Baschalvasee.
