The Sauwoogweiher is a small natural pond between the wine villages of Ranschbach, Leinsweiler, and Ilbesheim.
In the small green area in front of the pond, there are old boundary stones, and the Dr. Heinrich Diehl fountain bubbles.
Picnic in Nature
Whether on a hike or a bike tour: A picnic outdoors is a special experience – especially with regional specialties from the Palatinate! To keep nature as untouched as possible, please only use designated rest areas. In forests and vineyards, there are often no trash cans to avoid attracting wildlife and to keep the landscape clean.
Therefore, the rule is: Everything you bring should be taken back with you. Food scraps and packaging can be dangerous for animals and often take decades to decompose. Dispose of your waste responsibly and thereby protect the unique nature of the Palatinate!
