Möhnesee – Lebensgrundlage Wasser

Der 10 Kilometer lange und über tausend Hektar große Stausee wurde in den Jahren 1908 und 1912 zur Stromerzeugung, Trinkwasserversorgung und Wasserregulierung der Ruhr angelegt – damals war er die größte Stauanlage Europas. Beeindruckend ist die 40 Meter hohe Staumauer – besonders dann, wenn bei Hochwasserstand aus 105 Maueröffnungen gewaltige Wasserfälle in die Tiefe rauschen. Eine Schiffstour auf dem Möhnesee rundet den Besuch ab.
