In the Corte region, Lake Capitello is spectacular, with its immense granite slabs plunging into an intense blue;

This is the deepest lake in Corsica (42m), at the foot of the Bocca Alle Porte in Capitello, the highest point on the GR20 at an altitude of 2200m.
