Der Häcklerweiher liegt an der B32 bei Fronreute im Landkreis Ravensburg. Er ist ein künstlich angelegter See und wurde im 12. Jahrhundert zur Fischzucht aufgestaut.

Der Häcklerweiher ist Teil des Naturschutzgebiets „Dornacher Ried mit Häckler Ried, Häckler Weiher und Buchsee“.

Die Naturseen Häcklerweiher und Bibersee mit ihrem Moorwasser laden zum Baden ein. Das Befahren der Seen mit Booten, aber auch Luftmatratzen ist zum Schutz der angrenzenden Schilfgebiete und Nistplätze nicht zulässig. Im Uferbereich des Häcklerweihers und des Bibersees weisen Schilder auf die Bestimmungen der Polizeiverordnung zum Schutz der Öffentlichen Ordnung im Gebiet Häcklerweiher und Bibersee hin.
