An idyllic place with a wonderful natural scenery can be found at the romantic Lake Elisabeth.

The former gravel pond borders directly on the defensive wall of the Klauser reservoir and is characterized by the best water quality. Today you can fish in the groundwater lake and then grill the catch over an open fire (fishing cards available at the Hotel Bräurup). In the summer season you can of course also take a refreshing bath.

Public transport

Die Region Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Für die Anfahrt zum Rastplatz Elisabethsee wird aber ein eigener PKW benötigt.

Directions

Ausgehend von Mittersill auf der Felbertauern-Straße in Richtung Matrei fahren. Nach ca. 15 Kilometern befindet sich rechts vor einer Lawinengalerie der Rastplatz.

Direkt am Rastplatz stehen einige Parkplätze zur Verfügung.
