Der Seeleinsee (früher auch: Schlugsee) ist ein kleiner Gebirgssee auf 1.809 Metern Höhe im Hagengebirge. Die Kleine und Große Reibn führen am etwa 100 Meter langen See vorbei. Hüttenwanderer rund um den Königssee passieren den Seeleinsee auf dem Weg vom Schneibstein zur Röth. Der See ist aber auch ein beliebtes Ziel für Tageswanderung
Unterhalb des Kahlersberges
Der Seeleinsee ist 110 Meter lang und an der breitesten Stelle 53 Meter breit. Seine Fläche misst nur rund 4148 m² und der Umfang nur rund 250 Meter. Er befindet sich in einem Kessel unterhalb des Hochseeleinkopfs, des Kahlersbergs und der Tauernwand im Hagengebirge etwa 4 km östlich oberhalb des Königssees. Bis in den späten Frühling hinein ist der Seeleinsee von Eis bedeckt, ansonsten zeigt sich der See als ein klarer und ruhiger Gebirgssee, der Trinkwasserqualität besitzt. Der See ist ein beliebter Rastpunkt für Bergwanderer, da er am Weg zwischen dem Schneibstein und der Röth liegt und südlich des Sees Wege zu den Almen oberhalb des Königssees abzweigen. Die beliebten Skitouren und Wanderwege der Kleinen Reibn und der Großen Reibn führen am Seeleinsee vorbei. In den Sommermonaten erfrischt ein Sprung in das kühle Nass hartgesottene Bergwanderer.
Die Seeleinsee-Diensthütte
Etwas versteckt auf einer Anhöhe (1.890 m) steht die Seeleinsee-Diensthütte, eine Bergwachthütte, die der Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich ist. Früher diente das Gebiet um den See als Alm. Im Nordosten des Seeleinsees kann man noch die Mauerreste der verfallenen Seeleinalm (auch bekannt als Schlummalm) erkennen.
