Chièra Lakes

The starting point is Sompréi (1,850 m a.s.l.), which can be reached by car from Faido, Leventina Valley, climbing up from Osco or Carì and continuing until Tarnolgio. From Tarnolgio, take the diversions to Predèlp. From Predèlp, the road becomes a dirt track and leads to Sompréi.

If you prefer to leave your car in Predèlp, the walk to Sompréi takes no more than half an hour. The first stage of the itinerary is the Alpe di Chièra (2,038 m a.s.l.) from where you arrive directly at the small Chièra lakes (2,344 m a.s.l. and 2,361 m a.s.l.).
  The difference in altitude is 513 m; about 2 hours of walking. Although the path does not present any difficulties, it does require good mountain shoes.

The Chièra lakes can also be reached from the Prodör Hut.
