Der Bannalpsee ist ein Stausee im Schweizer Kanton Nidwalden.

Der Bannalpsee ist ein populäres Ausflugsziel und liegt in der Gemeinde Wolfenschiessen. Der See befindet sich in einer traumhaften Berglandschaft auf einer Höhe von ca. 1580 m. Gespiesen wird der Bannalp-Stausee vom Bannalpbach und vom Secklisbach. Das Bannalp-Areal ist im Sommer bei Wanderern sehr beliebt. Das Baden im See ist generell erlaubt. Im Winter bietet das Gebiet rund um den Bannalpsees ideale Bedingungen für Wintersportler.

Die Luftseilbahn Fellboden - Bannalpsee bringt Besucher ab Fell / Oberrickenbach direkt zum Bannalpsee. Die Bergstation einer weiteren Luftseilbahn, die Chrützhütte, ist eine gute Viertelstunde vom See auf der Bannalp entfernt. Vom Tal aus ist der Bergsee aus Richtung Oberrickenbach zum in ungefähr zwei Stunden zu Fuss erreichbar.
