The barefoot course is located on the fountain avenue in the spa gardens and a walkway serves to stimulate the foot reflex zones and the associated organs.
At the starting point there is the option of storing your shoes on shelves so that you can start the course with bare feet. The path begins on hard grass and there is a new surface every 8 meters, interrupted by a grassy area. The fields consist of sand, various types of washed gravel, granite paving, crushed glass, wood, pine bark mulch and fresh moorland.
After you have rinsed your feet with a water hose at the end of the course, you reach the Kneipp water treading pool. It is filled knee-deep with untempered water and is intended to calm you down in the evening and refresh you during the day. This so-called water treading is the most popular form of Kneipp stimulation-reaction therapy, as the venous and arterial vessels are alternately stimulated, thus promoting blood circulation.
