To this day, countless figurine designs and drawings handed down by company founder Grete Wendt and designer Olly Wendt form the basis of our product range.
Just like more than 100 years ago, the figurines are elaborately handcrafted in the workshops in Grünhainichen by skilled workers from the region (198 employees).
In total, more than 400 different items are produced each year and each year further figurines are added to the brand range. Wendt & Kühn's top priority is to produce them true to the original designs of their creators. In this way, the unmistakable character of the figurines is preserved, radiating grace, aesthetics, tradition and exclusivity.
It was and is above all the Grünhainichener Engel® with the characteristic eleven white wing points that make up the worldwide fame of the traditional Wendt & Kühn brand. They are known around the globe in almost 150 different versions, mostly as musicians.
No less popular and in demand are the colorful flower children, figurine-rich music boxes and wall clocks.

Directions
Since 12.09.2022 there has been a full closure of the S 235 in Grünhainichen, but only from the direction of Eppendorf / Borstendorf. Access from the direction of Augustusburg / Zschopau / Marienberg via Waldkirchen is still possible without restrictions. The footpath along Chemnitzer Straße is also freely accessible throughout the town. In Grünhainichen, Mühlenstraße from the direction of Flöhatal and Kirchstraße and Rochhausmühlenweg in the direction of Flöhatal are also open to traffic on one side for local residents.If you are coming from Freiberg / Eppendorf, we recommend the following detour: In Eppendorf, turn right before the gas station onto the S 236 to Leubsdorf. Drive completely through Leubsdorf and turn left after the Flöhabrücke bridge (at Gasthof Höllmühle). You will reach Grünhainichen via Marbach. Parking is available at the bakery, directly opposite Wendt & Kühn-Welt and at the church (Kirchstraße).
