Worm's head is reachable about two and a half hours either side of low tide so for about 5 hours each day, which leaves you with plenty of time to walk the 2.5 mile circut of the island. Many people go here for surfing as there are often prominent waves, it is also a great place to see seals as there often herds of them hanging out on the rocks.
It is divided into four main secions: Inner Head, Low Neck, Middle Head and Outer Head. Low neck and middle head are connected by a a section of rock referred to as 'Devils Bridge, so named because of the large angular gap under the thin passage of rock.'
It is the perfect place for a walk as the picturesque rocky coastline gives way to the golden sand of Rhossili bay.
There are two historic site of note nearby, an iron age earthworks and a medieval field system.
There is parking in the nearby village of Rhossili as well as cafes and pubs to get refreshments.
