Der Strand von Vallehermoso war einmal eine Attraktion, heute schaut das Strandbad und das Restaurant sehr verlassen aus.
Der Hafen und die Fabriken sind stillgelegt, die Kapelle, wo auch die Tagesetappe des GR132 beginnt, ist einen Besuch wert. Der Zugang zur Kapelle Virgen de Candelaria und zur Burg Castillo del Mar war im Jänner 2018 wegen Steinschlag gesperrt.
