Zeithainer Lustlager: ehem. Standort Backhäuser Moritz
Auf den Feldern zwischen Zeithain und Glaubitz fand 1730 das sogenannte „Zeithainer Lustlager“ August des Starken statt. Das Lustlager war sowohl eine beeindruckende militärische Parade zur Präsentation der sächsischen Armee, als auch ein außergewöhnliches und prunkvolles Barockfest. Es sollte den Reichtum, die Pracht und den Status August des Starken als mächtigen Herrscher Europas unterstreichen. Auf dem nun neu angelegten 35 km langen „Lustlagerundweg“ kann man die Dimension und wichtigsten Höhepunkte dieser historischen Großveranstaltung erleben.
Die Schlacht- und Backhäuser für das Feldlager wurden hier bei Moritz errichtet. Jeden Tag kamen Schiffe und Wagenladungen an, um die Versorgung der Gäste und Soldaten sicherzustellen.
