Villa Büchner in Pfungstadt

Ehemaliger Wohnort von Wilhelm Büchner, einem Industriellen des 19. Jahrhunderts. Büchner verwaltete von diesem Herrenhaus aus seine Fabrik, die künstliches Ultramarin („Waschblau“) herstellte. Nach seinem Tod wurde die Villa an verschiedene Gewerbebetriebe vermietet, 1933 bezog der Reichsarbeitsdienst in den Räumen Quartier. Ab 1942 wurden dort die in Pfungstadt und Umgebung eingesetzten Zwangsarbeiter, ab 1944 auch Kriegsgefangene, untergebracht. Nach Auszug des Reichsarbeitsdienstes vermietete die Stadt Pfungstadt die Räume der Villa an Familien und Einzelpersonen, bis die Villa Ende der 1980er Jahre schließlich für unbewohnbar erklärt wurde.
