Trincee del Monte Nagià Grom
The frontline comes back to life in an amazing trail. Do not miss the crosses in memory of the fallen and the remains of the field tank with the generator set.
If you want to understand the harshness of life in the trenches, we recommend taking a hike on Mount Nagià Grom. Here you can walk through the well-preserved trenches of an Austro-Hungarian field, recovered thanks to the restoration and cleaning work of the Alpini di Mori. Many environments to visit: the trench ring, the artillery posts, the observers and the vital centre of the camp, with kitchens, lodgings and bathrooms, in an articulated itinerary that allows you to imagine how the soldiers tried to survive the war.
From the combat areas it was possible to reach through protected trenches the vital centre of the camp, where there were the main facilities: memories that seem to emerge from the ground, hovering like mist through the ruins of a world that no longer exists.
STRENGTH
