Der Triptiser Stadttrum ist das Warzeichen der Stadt Triptis und ist von weit her sichtbar.

In der Nord-Ost-Ecke des einstigen Schlossbezirkes erhebt sich der ca. 30 m hohe Turm mit kleinen Öffnungen, dessen Umgang von einem Zinnenkranz und einem aufgesetzten, kleinen, gebogenen Kegeldach begrenzt wird.

Während das Schloss seit dem 15. Jahrhundert an Lehensträger und später auch an Bürger der Stadt gegeben bzw. verkauft wurde, blieb der ursprünglich allein stehende Turm Besitz des Landesherren, der diesen später gemeinsam mit der Gerichtsbarkeit an verschiedene Lehensträger verlieh.

Der Turm ist heute Eigentum der Stadt Triptis. Er ist im Durchmesser 9 m und hat 3 m starke Mauern. Sein Eingang befindet sich in etwa 10 m Höhe. Der Turm ist für die Öffentlichkeit nicht begehbar.

Opening times

Der Stadtturm ist nicht begehbar. Der direkt angrenzende Stadtpark ist öffentlich und immer begehbar. Er läd zum Späzierengehen ein.

Public transport

Ab dem Bahnhof Triptis nutzen Sie den ÖPNV Bus Linie 40 bis Marktplatz und laufen wenige Meter bis zum Stadtpark.

Folgen Sie ab der Abfahrt der A9 Triptis der B281 in Richtung Saalfeld bis zur Abfahrt Triptis Zentrum. Weiter der Geraer Straße bis zur Kreuzung am Stadtteich und der Beschilderung Triptis Zentrum folgen.

Um den Stadtpark stehen mehrere kostenfreie Parkplätze zur Verfügung.
