Die Reduit in Mainz-Kastel

Die ehemalige Reduitkaserne liegt direkt am Rheinufer.

Die Kaserne entstand zwischen 1830 und 1834 und wurde nach Beschädigungen im Zweiten Weltkrieg in den 1950 Jahren restauriert. Heute finden sich in der ehemaligen Kaserne ein Restaurant, ein Kinder- und Jugendzentrum und das Museum Castellum. Außerdem finden auf dem Gelände immer wieder schöne Events statt.
