Gothic building and former residence of the Rector, who held the highest political office in the former Republic of Ragusa.
Initially, the Prince's Palace was used as a fortress, but from the 14th century it served as a seat of government and administrative building. The building was destroyed several times, for example in the great earthquake of 1667, and rebuilt and extended several times.
Today, the building houses the city's cultural history museum.
