Prächtige Gemälde zieren die Wände und Decken der im Barockstil gehaltenen Passauer Rathaussäle.

Über eine gotische Treppe im Alten Rathaus erreicht man die beiden barocken Rathaussäle. Besonders beeindruckend sind die beiden Kolossalgemälde des Passauer Malers Ferdinand Wagner “Hochzeit Kaiser Leopold“ und “Einzug der Kriemhild“, welches einen Ausschnitt des vermutlich in Passau entstandenen Nibelungenliedes zeigt.
