Die Höhlenhäuser von Graufthal sind die einzigen ihrer Art in Ostfrankreichs. Die in einen Sandsteinfelsen gegrabenen Höhlen dienten im Mittelalter als Lagerräume. Ab dem 18. Jh. wurden sie von armen Leuten als einfache Behausungen genutzt. Eines der drei Häuschen war noch bis 1958 bewohnt. Ende der Achtzigerjahre wurden die Häuser dann auf Initiative eines örtlichen Freundeskreises restauriert. Für Besucher werden sie an Sonn- und Feiertagen geöffnet.
